Shopify Flow is now using 2025-10 of the GraphQL Admin API

Shopify Flow has been upgraded to use version 2025-10 of Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API, unlocking powerful new capabilities for building and customizing automations.

With this update, Flow gains deeper access to order, inventory, and payment data, allowing to create workflows that react to precise business events such as order totals, shipping schedules, or payment milestones.

What’s New in GraphQL Admin API Version 2025-10

1. Enhanced Order Querying

The orders query now supports current_total_price and total_weight filters, along with CURRENT_TOTAL_PRICE as a sortKey in Get order data actions.
This means you can easily create workflows that distinguish between high-value or heavy shipments, streamlining your fulfillment processes.

2. Expanded Inventory Shipment Tracking

New fields — dateCreated, dateReceived, and dateShipped — have been added for inventory shipments.
You can now monitor stock movement more precisely and trigger alerts when inventory is created, received, or shipped, helping to maintain accurate stock levels.

3. Improved Payment Schedule Insights

The updated PaymentSchedule object introduces new fields including balanceDue, totalBalance, and due.
These additions make it possible to automate payment reminders, follow-ups, or internal notifications based on outstanding balances and due dates.

4. Rerouting Fulfillment Orders

The new fulfillmentOrdersReroute mutation lets you redirect orders to alternate locations based on your business logic.
This provides more flexibility in managing fulfillment strategies and responding to logistical changes in real time.

5. Inventory Quantity Validation for Mutations

Several mutations now validate inventory quantity limits, including productSet, productVariantsBulkCreate, and productVariantsBulkUpdate.
This helps ensure data accuracy and prevents over-allocation or mismanagement of product quantities.
